Friday 15th April – bike *** – Short two rivers, Orwell to the Deben – sunny, warm start then sea fog rolls in:)

Being Good Friday and a nice sunny day our plan was to stay at home to avoid the chaos out on the roads and down on the prom with the fair in full swing! The usual morning, lay-in, had a panic with Wordle with several options but managed to get it done in six, lucky guess! Then after breakfast it was exercises in the sunny back garden with Mag in her element, gardening, in fact she spent all day pottering and loved every moment! We had two hot cross buns for lunch just as the sea fog rolled in and the sun disappeared with the temperature dropping! With Mag happy gardening I decided to bike down to Landguard Nature Reserve to spot the coloured bunnies they had put up for the kids to spot:) It was eerie with the clouds of fog rolling in from the sea as I headed first to Langer Park and then onto the view point where the fog was very thick! There was no container ship in the first berth, in fact you could hardly see the cranes as I continued towards the old jetty spotting coloured bunnies on the way, in fact I managed to take pics of 8 in the end, sad I know:) There was a large tugboat in the gloom on the Orwell but no sign of a container ship so I carried onto the prom which was probably a mistake as it was absolutely heaving and I do hate crowds but I managed to weave my way slowly through them and it thinned out a little once past the pier. Then onto the dip end which was much quieter but the fog was still very thick as I got to Felixstowe Ferry in time to see the ferry set off. I had a quick chat with a neighbour working on his wooden yacht before taking the short road way back for the usual cuppa and start our chocolate hen:) Sorting my pics out and doing my blog has been a nightmare with my laptop being so slow, it was better after I ran a scan! Apart from the laptop trouble it has been another top day despite the interesting weather!
